Dear students, parents and friends,
Welcome to room 308, home of the new GVJH Art
Island!
In order to adhere to the California Visual Arts Content
Standards,

our goal this year is to incorporate technology into the art
curriculum.
I would like students to learn how to take pictures of their
art work and create a web page featuring their portfolio. We
need your help! We will be needing equipment and supplies that
will not be covered by our limited budget.
Any donation would be most appreciated. I will also be looking
for outside sources of funding as well so if you have any ideas
or leads, please let me know. Tax deductible checks can be made
out to GVJH Art Island. Receipts will be given for your
tax files. Thank you!
I am developing a new web site for the Art Island where class information, assignments, news, and student work can be accessed as well as a list of all our kind friends who have donated funds for the program. Please fill out the name as you would like it to appear. As soon as the site is posted, I'll let you know. Until then, here is some important information:
Take care with our equipment and supplies.
Focus during instruction.
Be willing to help others.
No "fooling" around.
The Art Island is a safe place for us to explore a variety of art mediums. As long as you give your art projects your best effort, you will do well! There is no homework for this elective.
