I am in my third year at Goleta Valley Junior High. I have been in the district since 1990, teaching at Harding Elementary and here at Goleta Valley Junior High. I bring a love for math, and a history of trying to get all children equal access to mathematical knowledge to GVJHS. I share a wide range of thinking and problem solving with students so that they find ways to feel successful.

     I have been living in Santa Barbara since 1983, and come from the desert area of Palm Springs. I came to Santa Barbara to go to UCSB. I majored in Business Economics. I worked at several local businesses, and volunteered in local schools before getting my teaching credential.   I love the beach, and all of the beauty Santa Barbara offers. My husband's name is Joe, who grew up here in Santa Barbara. We have four children, a son at UCSB, a daughter and son at Dos Pueblos, and a seventh grader here at Goleta Valley.
