The School Site Council (SSC) of DPHS is seeking four new parent representatives to serve two-year terms (2008-2010).  The School Site Council is an important part of shared school governance.  The council is comprised of teachers, parents, students and classified personnel, along with the principal.  The Council meets monthly September through June.

The Council has responsibility to annually create and implement the school's "Single Plan for Student Achievement." This document outlines the school's chosen improvement plan. In order to implement this plan, the Council uses certain categorical money that comes from various state and federal sources. The council is responsible for monitoring and assessing the efforts of the school to reach its improvement goals each year.

The committee contributes significantly in setting goals for student success.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about school governance, finances, and academic improvement for all students.

Parent representatives are elected via ballots which are distributed in the Back-to-School packet.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Lisa Przekop at sblisaprz@gmail.com or call 893-3873.  You will need to submit a brief biography (1-2 paragraphs) by June 10th to be included on the ballot.
